CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Gharo Solar Limited not only provides clean energy to the grid but also focuses on improving the well-being of the community by giving back to the community as a responsible corporate entity. It is our belief that companies should be conscious to create their positive impact (Social, Environmental, Economic, and Health) to the community they operate in.
Since the inception of the company, Gharo Solar has given special emphases on education, healthcare, environment, community development and disaster relief to improve the quality of life for the community in general. Our CSR program initiates various projects and services to ensure sustainability of the greater environment and social well-being. As part of reporting standards, key facts regarding all CSR activities are published on the corporate website and social media platforms.
Some of the recent welfare projects under GSL CSR program are highlighted as below:
Infrastructure
GSL has been trying to improve the infrastructural facilities for the community. In this regard, hand pumps have been installed at different locations which help provide access to clean water to the local community. One Barrier (Bandh) was also made to stop rain water from entering into the village during the rainy season. A Mosque was also construed with all working facilities such as electricity and water to provide ease to the community whi lst fulfilling their religious duties.
Ration drive
GSL was able to deliver basic commodities such as wheat to 500 households. These household were also provided with Eid ration packages. To take care of the local community, our workers were able to locate widows in the nearby communities and provide them with basic household ration. During rainy season and flooding in the area, food items were distributed. Apart from these, we are also reaching out to the local community in times of their need by arranging money for important purposes such as dowry for families in need
education
Education being one of the major focus for any CSR program, We have been able to reach out to nearby schools to provide basic facilities to deserving students such as school bags and stationery.
